I think they need something to look forward, and I want to expose them to everything else going on in the world too, just so that they don't get clouded and they know that everything is not alright. However, I'm cynical and for me to try to explain the issues happening over the rest of the world, would be just as bad (if not worst) than putting them in fron of the t.v to watch CNN....wait, no, Fox News!! But everything isn't ok in the world. And it eats at me. Why should we be celebrating when people all over the world are dying. We are trivial things, like, for instance, songs about shoes for a mother making people cry, when people aren't even getting food!!! I know, tragedy is a tragedy no matter who dies or is sick or is hurt, but people don't look at it that way. That's the way it should be viewed at though!!!! There's a saying that goes, 'One person alone cannot do everything, but Everyone can do something' (this is the hypricritical part of me being exposed, b/c I do believe that I say it on the side of a Church).
Also, what the hell is with this Christmas Spirit?!?!? You can only be good to someone and go out of your way to do something nice once a year?!?!?!? Don't even get me started. The world would be a better place if we could apply these thoughts and actions year round.
I'm frustrated that people are so stupid and noone is really making a change. Maybe they're like me, and not really sure of where to start (albeit, I have done my share, and i'm still trying to do more), or maybe they're just ignorant and they're fine with that fact (again, that could be applied to be on some other issues ***hyprocritical moment....again), but we really need to do something.
No matter how bad your situation is, please remember that there is always at least someone worse off.
That's all.

Hello my cynical, babbly one - I get your point but remember that the world is filled with selfish people. And there isn't much that you can do to change them.
Well, I haven't had cable in like 5 years so I miss out on all the cool commercialism. . .lol!
